Focus | Jinsheng Aluminum Group’s Green Building Materials Support the Construction of Xiong’an New Area

From “a blank sheet of paper” to “rapid, vigorous growth,” Xiong’an—a “city of the future”—is rising from the ground. The Xiong’an New Area is another national-level new area following the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and the Shanghai Pudong New Area, and represents yet another historic strategic choice after the planned development of Beijing’s Urban Sub-Center. Guided by high-level planning and stringent construction standards, Xiong’an is striving to become a city for the ages, a city of the future, and a model city. The Xiong’an Citizen Service Center is the first infrastructure project completed since the establishment of the Xiong’an New Area, often referred to as “the flagship project of the Xiong’an New Area.” The center comprises eight individual buildings, most of which are three stories high, with the tallest reaching no more than five stories. The architectural design is dignified and imposing, with a spacious and well-organized layout that emphasizes the distinctive features of traditional Chinese culture, giving the complex a strong “Chinese style.” The Citizen Service Center serves multiple functions, including government services, planning exhibitions, conference hosting, and corporate office space, thereby embodying the fundamental direction of Xiong’an’s urban development. It stands as a microcosm of Xiong’an’s vision to build a smart city and a green city, making it a highly significant model project.

The Xiong’an Business Service Center is located in the western part of the Rongdong Area of the Xiong’an New Area, directly north of the Citizen Service Center. It covers a total land area of 217,300 square meters and has a total floor area of approximately 898,600 square meters, comprising an exhibition and convention center, a business hotel, office space, residential apartments, a kindergarten, a centralized commercial district with an underground ring corridor, and a five-star hotel. The facility will play a pivotal role in attracting investment and hosting large-scale exhibitions in the Xiong’an New Area. Upon completion, it will serve as an international hub for showcasing and trading scientific and technological achievements and as a premier conference center, thereby establishing a new global gateway for the “City of the Future.”

Along the central axis of the Xiong’an New Area, the Xiong’an International Hotel seamlessly integrates with nature, together composing a poetic tableau of the land. The hotel is slated to become another premier international venue for diplomatic and ceremonial exchanges, following the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing and the Yanxi Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center in Beijing, thereby showcasing the unique charm and fresh new image of the Xiong’an New Area to the world. Upon completion, the project will foster a favorable investment and living environment, laying a solid foundation for ushering in a new phase of construction and development in the Xiong’an New Area.

“The largest high-speed railway station in Asia”—Xiong’an High-Speed Railway Station is the first major transportation infrastructure project to break ground in the Xiong’an New Area. The Xiong’an Station on the Beijing–Xiong’an Intercity Railway will serve as a new landmark and external gateway for the New Area, an important hub and vital link for relieving Beijing of non-capital functions, and a key node in both the domestic economic circulation and the dual circulation strategy that integrates domestic and international markets. As a new hub within China’s “Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal” high-speed rail network, the Xiong’an Station will enable rapid connectivity between the Xiong’an New Area and major cities in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region, such as Beijing, Tianjin, and Shijiazhuang, thereby integrating the New Area into the regional intercity rail network. It will establish a 30-minute travel circle linking the New Area with Beijing and Tianjin, and a one-hour travel circle with major cities like Shijiazhuang and Hengshui.

Xiong’an Xuanwu Hospital is a hospital construction project supported by the Beijing Municipal Government to bolster the development of the Xiong’an New Area. It is the largest of the “Three Schools and One Hospital” turnkey projects under Beijing’s support for Xiong’an, and also the first large-scale Grade-III Class-A hospital in the New Area. The project covers a site area of 13.17 hectares with a total floor area of 122,000 square meters, encompassing outpatient buildings, medical technology buildings, inpatient wards, and research facilities. Upon completion, it will be a comprehensive hospital with 600 beds. As a pilot platform for healthcare informationization, an integration hub, and a showcase for smart healthcare in Xiong’an New Area, Xiong’an Xuanwu Hospital will play a leading role in the operation and management of the cluster of hospitals. In alignment with the coordinated development of the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region, the hospital will be developed into a medical complex that integrates clinical services, medical education, medical research, and the commercialization of research outcomes, ultimately serving as a model demonstration zone for the implementation of Healthy China, a leading center for medical science and technology R&D, and a pioneering demonstration area for innovation in healthcare service delivery models.
