The official opening date for the Beijing–Tangshan Intercity Railway has been set! Recently, the official Weibo account of Beijing Railway announced that the Beijing–Tangshan Intercity Railway will officially open to traffic on September 30, 2022.
The Beijing–Tangshan Intercity Railway is a key component of the rail transit network in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region. It originates at the Urban Subcenter Station in Tongzhou District, Beijing, passes through Langfang City in Hebei Province and Baodi District in Tianjin, and terminates at Tangshan Station in Tangshan City, Hebei Province. The line has a total length of approximately 148.7 kilometers and includes eight stations, with Yanjiao Station, Dachang Station, and Xianghe Station located in Langfang, Hebei. The design maximum speed is 350 kilometers per hour.
The Beijing–Tangshan Intercity Railway is a national key project and an important component of the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei intercity rail network, primarily serving intercity passenger traffic along its route. Upon completion and opening to traffic, it will significantly reduce travel times for residents of the three regions, further advancing integrated transportation within the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei area.
